Dealing with Account Deactivation and Suspension

Purpose: Handling deactivations during gaps between projects.

Audience

Existing Scholars

When to Use

If you receive a 'User Suspended' error when logging in.

Instructions

1. iMerit IDs are deactivated 30 days after a project ends to save license costs.

2. If you are assigned to a new project, your ID will be reactivated automatically.

3. Check your personal email for a 'New Credentials' notification.

4. Do not create a second account; this is a policy violation.

Troubleshooting / Exceptions

Suspended IDs cannot be reactivated by Project Managers; it requires an IIS ticket.

Escalation Path

Email scholars.hr@imerit.net if you are on an active project but your ID shows as suspended.
